Dave's Photography Site
Welcome to my site!
Welcome to my home page.
As an apprentice photographer, I'd like to share with you my shots, in the hope that someone may share with me what he thinks about my work.
Tha most important thing for every artist, whatever his level may be, is to receive some constructive critics; feel free to sign my guest book and leave your opinion on my photographs: I'll appreciate it!
Have a look around and (hopefully..) enjoy the visit.
Some technical stuff
All of my photos are taken with a Canon EOS 300D. I usually carry these two lenses:
- CanonEF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (the standard lens which comes with the body)
- Canon EF 75-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM (the one I use mainly for wildlife photography)
I shot quite always in RAW mode, so I can post-process the RAW file using the photoshop add-in.
The RAW files are then processed in Photoshop CS, where I usually limit my interventions to the classical Brightness/Contrast enhancements, or I crop the image to focus on some important spot.
Sometimes, however, when weather conditions are not the best (you know those white skies where everything you see looks like washed out?), I try to extract from the sky even the smallest sign of clouds, so I try everything, from filters to other magic, to obtain a good looking image.
